Your Ceremony, the way YOU want it!!

Hello, my name is Cathy Smith (C.M.C.), I am a registered Civil Marriage Celebrant on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Welcome to my site! 

Choosing a celebrant can be overwhelming.  I've listed some important things for you to consider when choosing your celebrant:

1.  Does your celebrant's personality fit you?  The last thing you need is a personality clash.  You need someone who will compliment you.  If you want a fun wedding, you don't want someone boring.  If you want it to be a romantic ceremony, you don't want someone cracking jokes etc.   

2.  Is your celebrant going to be well presented?  Photos are one of the most important part of a couple's wedding.  You need your celebrant to blend in!!  After all the Bride is the main attraction on this day.  I will actually give you the freedom to choose my outfit!!

3.  Is your celebrant willing to listen to you?  After all it is your day.  You don't need a celebrant who can't think outside the box.  Your wedding.....Your way!!!

4.  Is your celebrant registered?  This is probably one of the most important things of all.  After all, you want your marriage to be legal.  You can log onto the Attorney General's website (www.ag.gov.au) and search to see if your chosen celebrant is registered.

5.  Does your celebrant have a PA system?  Imagine if you get to your wedding and no one can hear you!  You need to make sure that they can supply a professional PA system. 

The list could go on and on!  But it all comes down to you.  My only advice would be, do not just "settle" for anyone based on price or availability, because it could be the difference between a beautiful, romantic wedding of your dreams, or a complete disaster.  So when "shopping around" for a celebrant, please choose carefully.
